Tea Dances
Phillip & Gaynor are proud to offer dancers regular Afternoon Tea Dances throughout the year who within some truly magnificent venues –
- The Ffwrnes Theatre, Llanelli
- The Brangwyn Hall, Swansea
- The National Waterfront Museum, Swansea
The Afternoon Tea Dances truly are for everyone whether your a dancer just starting out or an experienced dancer everyone is made welcome to join in and experience the friendly atmosphere. If you don’t dance why not indulge yourself in a slice of cake and a cup of tea and soak up the atmosphere and watch the beautiful dancing whilst listening to the wonderful music.
Each Tea Dance consists of a mixture of Ballroom, Latin and Popular Sequence dancing along with some demonstration dances from Phillip and Gaynor and on occasions from some of their talented pupils.
Tea Dance History
The Tea Dances initially started in 2016 when Phillip and Gaynor were approached by the enthusiastic Manager of the Ffwrnes Theatre in Llanelli to run a pilot Tea Dance of which was a huge success. Since this time the Afternoon Tea Dance has been a very popular regular addition to the Theatres event programme. For a time Tea Dance were also held in the wonderful but smaller Miner’s Theatre in Ammanford.
In 2018 Phillip & Gaynor met with the Manager of the Brangwyn Hall who fell in love with the idea of having an Afternoon Tea Dance held in one of the biggest Ballroom’s in the Country. Some pilot dates were set and again the Afternoon Tea Dances were extremely popular and have become a very popular regular addition to the Brangwyn Hall’s programme of events.

Due to the popularity of the Tea Dances we very kindly request that all tickets are purchased in advance if at all possible to ensure that no one is left disappointed as despite venues having large capacity, tickets have sold out. The pre booked numbers are also essential in planning for the catering.

Wedding dance lessons give the couple an opportunity to bond and connect emotionally through dancing. Moreover, it helps the couple to overcome any nervousness or anxiety that they may have about performing in front of the wedding guests. By the end of the sessions, the couple will have the confidence and skills to perform a beautiful and memorable first dance that will leave their guests in awe.
Dancing Shows
Phillip & Gaynor are both available for dancing shows / demonstrations in either Ballroom, Latin or a mixture of both for your special occasion or corporate event.
About Phillip & Gaynor’s Dancing Shows / Demonstrations
Both Phillip and Gaynor have been performing Dancing Shows for a number of years, and have managed to inspire a number of young people to take up dance as a hobby / interest. The spectacular shows usually ranges between 15 – 20 minutes or up to 45 minutes (including costume change) for both Ballroom & latin.
Do you need your event filmed?
Phillip & Gaynor often work very closely with video production company Mighty Media Productions who is a specialists film & Media. They can arrange for an event video to be produced including their dancing show.

Adjudicating & Scruitineering
Championship Adjudicators
Both Phillip and Gaynor are currently registered Championship Adjudicators in both Ballroom and Latin.

Phillip has been Scruiteneering across the UK since qualifying in 2014 and is fully licensed with the British Dance Council.

Phillip and Gaynor are members of the Welsh Professional Dance Teachers of the UKA and play a key part in organising various competitions in Ballroom, Latin, Classical, Freestyle, Street and much more. These include the:-

Phillip & Gaynor have also co-promoted with Martin Bird for the Next Generation Titles held in Worcester on the last Sunday of August.
